Top 5’s

Season 3, Episode 10: I took notes so you didn’t have to…. So grab your apron and let's get into it!

Who doesn’t love a top 5 list? Late night hosts love them, type A folks love them and of course yours truly. Today I thought it would be fun to go through a handful of things I am very into at the moment to see if it will spark some culinary inspiration, maybe get you out on your own food adventure or just full up your amazon cart more!

Top 5 Products

  • Rezip and/or Stashers bags - these two brands I think are solid options for reusable bags. Stashers is definitely a little thicker and will stand the test of time more but rezip is a great option as well.

  • Brightlands Pizza Oil…very tasty!

  • Quest High Protein Spicy Chips (SO GOOD) and I can only really vouch for this flavor

  • Goodles Mac and Cheese (all the flavors are killer)

  • Alison Roman ,Dining In and Love and Lemons, Feel Good Foodie

Top 5 Recipes

Top 5 Restaurants I’ve been to lately

  • Celeste in Somerville, MA

  • Cicade in Cambridge (lunch is a good time to go)

  • Pizza Marvin - PVD

  • Curry House Franklin MA

  • APPLES!!! Go get fresh apples ANY WHERE in New England at ANY farm stand!!! Go support your local farms!!!

Eeeeeek!!! I am back! It feels so good to be back let me tell you! I decided to take the summer off from podcasting and you know what? I really missed you guys!!! Life was just whirling by and I needed some time to regroup and refocus on things here and well, simply enjoy the summer. And boy oh boy did I! I can’t wait to chat more about it in upcoming episodes. So thank you so much for being here, for listening and cooking beside me. It means so much!

This week it’s all about end of summer produce. It’s all about Tomatoes, Corn and Eggplants today! Now I know in the episode I believe I talk about Tomatoes being one of my favorite vegetables, now I know they are technically a fruit so please hold off on sending in comments on that. I do believe that they transcend categories though and are JUST AMAZING!!!!

First up that all star fruit, Tomatoes!

Thanks to The Kitchn.com for doing all the leg work on this. I tried all the methods and ABSOLUTELY agree with them on the winners and losers!

Going on a “Trip” with Mike Doyle

Season 3, Episode 9: I took notes so you didn’t have to…. So grab your apron and let's get into it!

And just like that…it’s May! Today is a special conversation with one of my favorites and yours, Mike Doyle from Your Daily Bred Comic and Podcast as well as the This Was the Scene podcast. Mike had a recent impactful experience that he wanted to share with the world. First and foremost we are ABSOUTLEY not saying to go out and do illegal drugs. We are not doctors, we are not medical professionals in anyway and we do not recommend for anyone to do psilocybin or any other illegal drugs. Doyle is only here to share his experience and nothing else. So please do your own research on Psilocybin. Michael Pollan, “How to Change Your Mind” is a good place to start if you’re interested in reading more on the subject.
