What’s been Cookin’ Good Lookin’?

Season 4, Episode 10: I took notes so you didn’t have to…. So grab your beverage of choice and let's get into it!

OMG IT’S BEEN SO LONG!!!! HOLY CRAP! Where did the weeks ago?!? It’s been such a great spring, so many clients, so many projects I have been able to been apart of. I am so grateful for it all as I LOVE being a photographer and collaborating with so many wonderful creatives on set. It’s been a very fun few months for sure in the photography studio! And as we all know not only do I love photographing food but I LOVE cooking and eating food!!! Luckily these things can go hand in hand at times.

I wanted to include a handful of things I have been enjoying in the kitchen on these VERY warm early summer days.

  • Nancy Silverton’s Chopped Salad - it’s SO good and you don’t need to turn your oven on at all! No cooking, no fuss and super easy peasy!

  • Grilled Nectarine Salad with Blue Cheese, Hazelnuts and Honey - SO SO SO good. So many flavors, textures, temperatures. Marinate some skirt steak with this recipe, and fire up the grill. It’s all you need!

  • Spicy Coconut Mussels with a Curry Broth - Just stop reading right now and go make these. Get some incredibly crusty bread and DONE! That’s it! It’ll come together in no time and so so so yummy! I added a massaman curry paste to this and some grilled zucchini (just because I have to have a vegetable).

  • Pasta alla Norma and MY FAVORITE Eggplant Caponata. OMG that god damn Eggplant Caponata recipe is just my north star. It’s SO SO SO SO good. I make it all the time, even in the off season when the veggies are in their prime just because I love it so much.

  • Here’s the base of my scallop faux “ceviche” idea…DON’T FORGET TO ADD THE ASIAN PEAR and then whatever veggies you want. Lots of lime, some serrano pepper, avocado and cilantro…BOOM! Dinner is done!

  • Need some drink ideas for a group? Rose Sangria or what about Large Batch of Aperol Spritz or go for a Paloma and leave the booze on the side!
