An Incredible Conversation with Shaunda Necole from The Soul Pot

Season 3, Episode 13: I took notes so you didn’t have to…. So grab your apron and let's get into it!

Today we are sitting down with the amazing Shaunda Necole from the Soul Pot and the Soul Pod!!! In just 2 years, recipe creator Shaunda Necole built her blog, The Soul Food Pot, into Google’s #1 southern soul food site. She takes iconic African American recipes and reimagines them via modern kitchen appliances, often shortening the time to prepare beloved traditional dishes.

Shaunda demystifies the seasoning tricks to help amateur chefs feel more comfortable with this critical part of soul food cuisine, and she wants to make cooking her heritage’s favorite dishes easier and that much more soulful.

Also the author of six culinary guides, and the host of The Soul Food Pod, Apple’s first show dedicated to the history and culture around iconic African American dishes, Shaunda believes in making life easier, and more soulful, one recipe at a time!
