*this is not a sponsored episode

As the Co-Founder and CEO of 12 Tides, Pat leads operations, sourcing, sales and business development. A seasoned leader and innovator, Pat spent several years at McKinsey & Company where he served as a consultant and investor in the commercial fishing and aquaculture industries. A conservationist at heart, he was emboldened to create 12 Tides after witnessing the negative impacts commercial fishing is having on our oceans. He decided to start 12 Tides to pioneer the transition to a sustainable ocean food system. Prior to founding 12 Tides, Pat received his MBA from Stanford University.

All of Pat and 12 Tides information can be found here!

I personally have had all of their snacks and think they are really delicious and highly recommend them if you are looking for a sustainable snacking option out in the world.

As for the oceans, we, as a society, have truly screwed them but there is hope…well I am choosing to think there is hope. If you want to educate yourself more on sustainable fishing practices and what you can do the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch is a good place to start for sure.
